A few days ago, Facebook updated their desktop page layouts. This is not necessarily the final Facebook page layout as it seems they are still testing new layouts for now. However, I think the changes are fabulous and I love the new look so far!
The current changes are:
— The profile photo and page name now sit on the top left of the page and no longer on top of the cover photo – much better.
— The call to action and navigation buttons are now located under the cover image.
— A new navigation menu sits in the left hand column.
— All other information boxes are now in a column on the right hand side of the page.
I think the new Facebook page layout looks much cleaner and it will also be easier for visitors to find their way around. The call to action button and the menus, for example, are now much more accessible. Some of you might want to update your cover photo because quite often a gap was left in order to allow the profile photo and name to show up on top of the cover photo. This is no longer necessary. What do you think of the new layout?
